Not to be confused with splooge, of course. The boyfriend and I took a spur of the moment trip to SheBop, a friendly local top shop in Portland. It’s a must see for visitors. We’d planned to power through our visit. Quick spin through the shop, grab some tacos down the street, zip home. We did manage to get out in our allotted time frame, but I couldn’t resist bringing a few things with me.
It was a tough choice. I’ve been dying to get my hands on Sliquid lube. I’ve also had my eye on some new weighted ben wa balls. These toys filled a gap that were otherwise unfilled in my collection, so they won out.
Those metal rings there are a set of more advanced cock rings. I might see if I can work a little cock ring review up, as we’ve tried quite a few different ones now. They all looked the same on the rack so I ended up grabbing a smaller set by accident. I don’t think “big” or “small” has much to do with experience here, and more to do with size of penis and testicles. Particularly because these (obviously) don’t stretch. The bigger one worked well, but now I have to figure out some alternative use for the smaller rings. Hmmm… The potentially threatening looking toy at the top there is a beaded butt plug. You can hardly tell in the photo – but at the end there is a loop to put your finger through. I suspect this will be useful.
As we left the helpful employees showed us some more cock rings. Wooden ones, even! I foresee a growing collection of these suckers in my future, and that’s okay with me. Aren’t women supposed to like rings?
I was sharing this little bit of information for just the right moment, and I think this is it. I definitely squirted – for the first time. Where was that special magic trick all these years, body? Shortly after squirting for the first time I received this toy in the mail. (I wish I could say it was the great deliverer, alas.) The reason this was so exciting to me was that G-Spot stimulation is toted as one of the primary methods of squirting. We don’t know much about squirting. Scientists are still out there with their wet-goggles on trying to figure out what the heck it is, why we do it, how we do it… isn’t that weird? I mean, we still have news articles that are hitting the headlines. The G-Spot Exists! The G-Spot is a Myth! Fortunately for you, you can shut off your computer and take this toy in hand and complete your own experiments from the comfort of your bed.
Here are some of the basics from LELO on the Mona 2.
- It is the upgraded version of the toy, as you may have gathered from the “2″
- Fully waterproof and more power
- Smooth Body-Safe Silicone
- 1 year warranty, 10 year quality guarantee
- A heck of a lot of settings
- A sweet ass curve
- Totes rechargable
(Now I’m just paraphrasing)
But really, check out the booty on this toy. When you’re looking at a G-Spot toy, the curve is obviously really important. The curve is what helps the toy reach upwards and into the sweet spot. While this toy doesn’t have a super dramatic curve, it has a super dramatic tip. I found this distinction to be interesting.
In fact, if you look at it, the toy almost looks like it’s entirely a tip. With a slight “body” of the toy curving in to the actual G-Spot stimulator. This toy knows its function, knows its place. This toy is clearly meant for G-Spot play.
Again, as mentioned in just about every post I write about toys, silicone is the best. The absolute best. This material rocks so hard that I’m not sure if I’m ever going to use a toy made of another material. In the past (when I first started using toys) I’d stock up on cheap jelly or plastic toys. They tend to be more uncomfortable with insertion and can degrade over time. Not to mention, some toys are downright toxic. These toys are totally safe as mentioned above and slip right in.
The speeds are also really great, this toy practically sings. The plus and minus signs (right and left) turn the toy up and make it pulsate with a greater strength. The attention to detail is wonderful here, with the buttons lighting up with use – a feature that would be useful if you’re using this toy in the dark. The up and down buttons change the setting of the toy. Various styles of vibration which honestly would be just as easy to describe as singing in dub step. You’ll have to fiddle with it yourself, there, but it’s awesome to have variety.
Some of the settings allow you to leave the toy in you with little work on your part, letting the vibration build you up to an orgasm over a period of time. You need patience for that one, but if you’re into edging it can be a fun practice. I admit that the last thing that I like doing when using a toy is having to fiddle with buttons and settings, especially if I want to turn the toy off quickly. I’m not sure that there is an easy solution to this problem but this toy does it better than others that I have reviewed. You don’t have to cycle through various settings to turn it off and if you hold the “minus” button for strength, the toy turns off fairly quickly.
If you want to use the actual G-Spot function of this G-Spot toy (which I think is the shape) the settings are less important in my opinion, it’s more about how you hold the toy. I’ve always found it can be helpful to have a partner help you with your toys. (Which may be counter-intuitive for those of you who have toys because you don’t have a partner.) If you do have a partner, though, try letting them use this toy on you. It may help you hit that G-Spot even harder, which some people (cough) like.
Ultimately this toy does what it says it’s going to do. It provides G-Spot Stimulation. It packs a punch with the various speeds and settings. It’s super slick, and absolutely gorgeous. At around 5″ insertable length, it’s not too intimidating for those new to toys. It comes a little more expensive (at $139) but if you’re looking for one standby g-spot toy that will last you, this is a good choice. I would not recommend this toy if you are looking for a more standard use toy that stimulates the vagina as a whole, without directing towards the spot. For that purpose, you may be more inclined to look at the Elise 2 – which I haven’t tried, but looks to be very similar to the Mona, with less of a curve.
This toy was provided courtesy of LELO for review, all thoughts/opinions (and photos!) are my own.
Have you tried the toy? Do you have a favorite LELO product? Let me know in the comments!
When people think about the first toy they ever wanted, it often looks something like this. Slick, clean, with a little nub at the end. The rabbit vibe is in a league of its own. So many notches, features, vibrating and swirling. A rabbit vibe goes above and beyond your traditional phallic dildo by offering what most women require more than anything – a little clitoral stimulation.
Having only one other toy similar to the KAYA Rabbit, I was very excited to give this toy a run through and see how I liked it.
First impressions: Silky smooth to the touch, seamless, more curved that I was expecting which is a huge bonus in hitting the hot spots. Scores an A+ on all my regular requirements for a good toy.
Second (post fiddling) impressions: The clitoral part vibrates all on it’s own on one of the modes! And wow, there are a lot of modes. The website says 12, though it’s hard to tell when I’ve cycled through all of them. [It is also very quiet.]
Final (post trial) impressions: This is a toy that does all the work. Thrusting definitely not required, especially on some of the modes where the toy pulsates – you really only ought to lay back and enjoy.
Additional facts from the website: It’s waterproof, FDA approved body safe, and has eco-friendly manufacturing.
I found the my biggest issue with this toy was the battery compartment. This could be entirely user error, but given how many toys I own I wasn’t expecting to experience such frustration here. Getting the battery compartment open is no big pain, but getting it back on took me several minutes. This is likely because the toy is waterproof, but I’m not one to have patience when the batteries run low and the toy slows down.
Final say: This takes the cake in terms of the rabbit vibes I’ve tried. The clitoral nub is in the perfect place and the curving of the toy is perfect for slight g-spot stimulation. The modes are what really makes the toy shine though – it’s like the toy knows how to please. Set it on one of the pulsating modes and let your orgasms build more slowly. You’ll thank me – and have complete devotion for the KAYA. If the battery compartment were easier to manipulate this toy would gain back the remaining half a point.
A toy should never be seen as a purely female form of sexual entertainment or pleasure, nor should men be afraid to jump into the game. A favorite brand of mine, and probably yours, has introduced round two of their TOR couples rings, the LELO TOR II. This ring is as the title suggests: absolute luxury.
We’ve done our fair share of ring testing in the past, from basic rubber rings to a stiffer silicone ring. In doing so we’ve found a few features that we value in a good ring.
First and foremost: It must be a ring that doesn’t put you into a panic attack when you slide it on. That means a ring that can be put on and taken off with relative ease. The TOR II looks stiff in form but allows for just enough stretch at the bottom for the toy to slide on. Don’t be brave though – I highly encourage you to line both the toy and penis with lubrication before wearing it. While it does have some stretch, it has significantly less stretch than you might expect or be used to.
Also important in a vibrating ring is a range of vibration. You’re going to want the option of the vibe, but without the overwhelming sensation that comes with a toy stuck on high. This toy does speeds right by having a plus and minus sign on either side of the head of the toy, allowing you to easily adjust while the toy is in use. (If you have larger fingers, these buttons might be more difficult to press and use with ease while in motion.) I enjoyed that the toy had a very low vibration setting so the feeling was not overpowering, but you could easily kick it up to high when the mood struck by holding down the button – or pressing it once or twice.
Lastly, and most importantly, the toy has to be comfortable. The LELO TOR II is made of that silky silicone which I wrote of with great fondness in past posts. It’s hard to use a toy made of anything else, and if you have the option not to… I wouldn’t. This silky feeling makes sliding on the toy and using the toy for a longer period of time much more enjoyable.
As with any new toy it can take some adjustment to learning how to use it best. The instruction manual (this is serious business) that comes with the toy suggests two ways of wearing the ring, this was seriously impressive as most toys do not include this information. As expected it shows that you can wear the ring around the back of the balls or just slid onto the shaft of the penis. (I always prefer around the balls, gets you the full effect!) Aside from keeping the penis erect, making it more sensitive, and providing a longer-lasting session, the vibe… Oh.
Remember that women cannot easily orgasm from penetration alone. This cock ring can provide an excellent aid in the process, with the head of the TOR II stimulating the clit during penetration. Play with your positioning – some may find cowgirl to be more pleasurable, some may find missionary or other positions to be more pleasurable. It’s all about what works best for your bodies once the toy is in use. Find that sweet spot where the toy can work as a clitoral stimulator to get full use of the toy!
To end with the beginning, I have to talk about the packaging. Opening this toy gave me the same excitement of sliding open the box of a new Apple Product. It was breath-takingly well put together and made the experience go far beyond what I expected. Nerdy, perhaps, but true. Outside of the storage box (which is worth keeping) the toy comes with a small black drawstring sack, a sample of moisturizing lubricant, and the charger for the toy. Yes, it’s a rechargable, silky smooth, waterproof cock ring. Made by LELO. Siiiigh.
From the lelo official website: It is 60 x 42 x 22 mm, 30 grams, and 29mm in diameter. It has a use time of 2 hours, 90 day standby. — It is also very, very quiet on the lower settings. Presumably much quieter than you will be.
This wonderful toy was provided by LELO for an honest review, and was well received! Thank you!
A friend of mine picked herself up a Lelo Insignia Tiani and kindly offered to do a review for my blog. Thanks @Steampunkvixen !
In the past year, I have developed quite an extensive collection of toys. I have collected so many different types of toys recently that it has become a source of entertainment and humor to some of my close friends. Jokes at the expense of my sex life and how I must be looking for that extra something to truly satisfy me (purely in jest) have become common place in my apartment. That said, the minute I am alone with one of the afformentioned friends, the first thing out of their mouth is “Ok, so which one is your favorite.”“Where should I start?” “How the hell is that thing supposed to work?”
I have the luxury at the moment of having some disposable income and due to this I feel that I have the duty to empart my knowledge of my spendy collection of orgasmic goodies on to those looking for the perfect toy without the ability to spend wantonly the way I tend to. I tend to have luck when it comes to finding toys that are lacking in the cons column. (I would have to say, suggestive has had quite the influence in helping me in that arena.) And so I have been wanting to write a review for this blog but have been trying to find the perfect toy to showcase. Something new and exciting.
That said, I recently picked up a toy that looks really good on paper. Like, really good. Suggestive and I were Interneting when she showed me this new toy. This incredible new idea that looked like so much fun. The YouTube video is ridiculous, the concept was intriguing, and I had to have it. I’m talking about the Lelo Insignia Tiani, Lelo’s new sense motion sex toy.
Now, if you haven’t seen the video, stop. Watch this. Seriously. I’ll wait. It cracks me up!
I got the toy in the mail, pulled it out, and showed my roommate. We tilted it, shook it, (laughed at the idea of shaking that remote around in the bedroom) and then had to play the waiting game because, like most fun toys, it needed to charge before it could be put to it’s actual use.
Before I get ahead of my self, let me backtrack. I should start off by saying that I give this toy two ratings: The first rating is for the toy as a wireless vibrator; and the second for what I was told by an employee at my local sex toy shop (that it doubles as a WiVibe style toy).
When I finally got to play around with this toy, I was suuuuper excited. I love wireless toys. The idea of having a secret between you and your partner in public like that is such a turn on. This one proved to be even quieter than most I had used and the lack of an illuminated screen on the remote made it even more discreet. The range on it is pretty standard and the vibrations are strong! It fits inside of you wonderfully and I have to say, as a foreplay peice, this is an ideal toy. The hook that rests on your clit is the perfect addition to what I find lacking in most wireless toys. It isn’t immobilizing, but honestly, who wants to be walking down the street or sitting down to dinner and suddenly gripped by a such a startling orgasm that you end up leaning on the wall with that look on your face? I much prefer the subtle, building wave that comes from this toy. Much more discreet, just as fun.
The remote has a few different settings for whatever works in the moment. The shake setting is just sensitive enough that your partner can put it in his or her pocket while walking and produce just enough vibration to keep you tagging along, afraid to get outside of range and the fun to stop. The setting in which you turn the remote to create a variety of vibrations allows your partner to leave the settings on high at a simple flick of the wrist, or to tease between fast and slow with minimal effort. It can be a tad bit inconsistant with which angle gives which vibration, but it is forgivable in my opinion, since that is really the only thing I can find wrong with it. Everything about this toy works practically perfectly as a wireless, night on the town toy.
5 out of 5 stars in my opinion.
The only down side, the price. As a wireless toy alone, dropping over $100 is a hard lump to swallow.
The real problems came later. If you are familiar with the WiVibe toy, you can see how this toy and the WiVibe look incredibly similar. It would be easy to make the mental leap and try to use this as a second type of toy. I believe that is what the woman at my local sex shop did. I have yet to try the WiVibe. It is on my list, but sadly I haven’t had the opportunity to get my hands on one. But I sincerely hope that it far outshines the Tiani. All the pluses of the toy go out the window the moment intercourse is introduced. The interface that allows you to change what types of movement you use becomes cumbersome when you are other wise occupied. The hook that was so pleasurable during the foreplay was down right painful and the vibrator itself was large and overbearing. I ended up becoming frustrated and throwing the toy across the bed in order to just enjoy myself instead of figuring out the exact right position that the remote should be in and what sexual position felt the best, not great, but ok, with the vibrator…
Blahblahblah I just want to fuck!!
That said, with other people, body types, and perhaps a little more patience (I had been worked up while we tested the first part of the toy and, goodness knows, I tend to lose a lot of my self control at that point) I feel like the toy could potentially used during more than just foreplay. I personally didn’t find it pleasurable or worth the time to try a second time but that doesn’t mean it isn’t. For that reason I won’t give it anything less than 2.5 out of 5 stars.
Overall I love the idea of the Tiani. The new technology is genius and the shape of the toy is perfect. However, as a review on the edenfantays website says:
The Insignia Tiani may be the sex toy of the future with its SenseMotion technology and wireless function, but the technology itself isn’t perfect. The exquisite design is impeccable and the vibrations are powerful, but [...] If you want to wait until the technology is perfected, that’s fine, if you want to see what a SenseMotion/wireless toy is like, the Tiani is a great place to start. — Foxxy Kitty
If you have an extra bit of cash to throw on something fun for yourself, I suggest the Tiani. If you’re looking for something a little more versatile and a little less hard on the wallet, pass this one up, wait for version 2.0, play around with some of your own wish list items and maybe give the rest of us your thoughts? I could always use more toy recommendations.
This post was not sponsored by EdenFantasys or Lelo, but I think I can speak for the both of us when I say they come highly recommended!
