One of the things that has been keeping me sane lately is my morning routine. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to get out of bed, as the weather refuses to go from winter to spring. Curled up twisted in layers and layers of sheets and blankets (and boyfriend) with the window cracked just enough to let the cold air brush against any exposed skin is enough motivation to stay in bed until the end of time. This is why it’s oh-so-important to have those things that I look forward to doing when I get up in the morning.
The first thing I do is complain. I’m working on that one. We’ll call that ‘starting point zero.’ After I complain I attempt to scramble my brain for those things that I’ve meticulously placed in my routine to get me out of bed. My stomach is grumbling- time for breakfast. A protein smoothie. Sometimes morning sex. Kind of like a protein smoothie. Then a shower. Then clothes. Once I’ve got my coffee in my hand I finally start feeling human again and have at least an hour to sit down in front of my computer to read my blogs.
I’ve been following a new blog and it’s definitely up there in one of the first blogs I read in the morning. My mind is still waking up so it’s definitely my equivalent of brain candy. Easy to read, interesting to read, and lots of pretty pictures.
More importantly for you though, toys. Lots and lots of toys. Right now as I’m reading along there is a video of a guy reviewing the Nexus Ridge Rider a newer male-centric toy I’ve been eying. It is distracting me from writing this blog.
There are a lot of good toy sites out there but Edenfantasys is the only one that I’ve ever really liked to buy through. Edenfantasys blog (appropriately titled ‘EdenCafe’ to go along with my coffee) highlights Health and Body Image, Kink, Relationships, and Sexuality as their main topics.
Predictably, though, my favorite section of the site is the Kink section, with the subcategories ‘fetish’ and ‘bdsm’. Even taking sexuality courses in college and being surrounded by the subject of sex every day, you’re still surprisingly sheltered in what you get to hear about. Learning about different sorts of kink from different perspectives is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time.
It is, apparently, also a good way to wake up in the morning.
Anyways this blog/smorgasbord/orgy of sex-lit is recommended. You’ll see me commenting on some of the blogs from time to time and I’d recommend checking it out and seeing what you think too.
